ABOUT US

Constable Burton Caravan Park is an established, well-maintained site with a fantastic reputation built over many years. Beautifully situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, we're a popular and much-loved stop-off for touring caravanners exploring one of England's most stunning regions. The park comprises 80 seasonal pitches and 40 touring pitches — a well-balanced, manageable site with a friendly, community feel. We take great pride in the quality of our site and the warm welcome we offer every guest — and we're looking for someone who shares those values.

📅 THE SEASON & BEYOND

The park welcomes guests from March through to October each year, but this is a year-round position. During the quieter winter months, the focus shifts to ongoing maintenance, site upgrades, security, and promotion — ensuring the park is always pristine and ready to welcome guests back when the season opens. Wardens’ accommodation is provided throughout the full year.

⏳ START DATE & HANDOVER

We are looking for the right couple to join us from June 2026. A structured handover period with our outgoing wardens will be in place to ensure a smooth transition and a confident start — so you'll never feel thrown in at the deep end. Applications from individuals will also be considered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is ideally suited to a couple wishing to share the responsibilities between them. As Park Wardens, you'll be the welcoming face of Constable Burton Caravan Park during the season — caring for the needs of both our loyal seasonal pitch holders and our ever-changing touring guests. During the winter months, you'll keep the park in excellent shape through maintenance projects, upgrades, security patrols and promotional activity, ensuring the park's fantastic reputation is upheld all year long.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

During the Season (March – October)

Touring Guests

• Welcoming arriving tourers, allocating pitches and providing a warm, helpful introduction to the park

• Managing touring bookings and handling enquiries in person and by phone

• Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay from arrival to departure

Seasonal Pitch Holders

• Building positive, ongoing relationships with seasonal residents

• Acting as the first point of contact for any queries, concerns or maintenance issues

• Ensuring seasonal pitches are kept to the standard expected of the park

General Site Management

• Carrying out daily site inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness across the full site

• Performing general maintenance and minor repairs

• Maintaining amenity blocks, facilities, and communal areas

• Enforcing park rules in a friendly but firm manner

• Responding to out-of-hours emergencies

• Liaising with contractors and suppliers as needed

During the Off-Season (November – February)

• Carrying out planned maintenance and improvement projects across the site

• Overseeing and contributing to new upgrades and developments

• Maintaining site security throughout the closed period

• Supporting park promotion and marketing activity to drive bookings for the season ahead

• Preparing the park to the highest standard ready for reopening in March

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A warm, approachable manner with great customer service skills

• Practical DIY and maintenance skills

• Good organisational ability and the confidence to work independently

• Full UK driving licence

• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays throughout the season

• A genuine pride in keeping a site looking its best

• Previous experience in a similar or hospitality role is a bonus — but not essential
