Community Spirit Shines at Constable Burton Hall Charity BBQ
The sun shone down on the community of Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park and the team at Constable Burton Hall on Saturday 20th June as residents, friends and staff came together for a special day of celebration, fundraising and heartfelt farewells.
This year's annual Charity BBQ provided the perfect opportunity not only to raise money for an important cause but also to celebrate the retirement of Tony and Barbara Knowles, who have dedicated more than 18 years of service as wardens at the caravan park.
Guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch prepared and served by the Constable Burton Hall Team, creating a wonderful atmosphere for the afternoon's festivities. Alongside the BBQ, visitors took part in a charity tombola and raffle, with fantastic support from the park community.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, an outstanding £2,238 was raised through event ticket sales, the tombola and the raffle. The funds have since been used to purchase a defibrillator, which is now located at the Caravan Park office, providing an invaluable resource that could help save lives in the future.
The event also gave everyone the opportunity to thank Tony and Barbara for their commitment, hard work and friendly presence over the past 18 years. Their dedication has played an important role in making Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park the welcoming community it is today, and they leave with the gratitude and best wishes of residents and colleagues alike.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, donated prizes, bought tickets and supported the event as well as to the Wyvill family for their hospitality. The success of the day once again demonstrated the incredible community spirit that makes Constable Burton Hall such a special place.
We wish Tony and Barbara a long, happy and well-deserved retirement and look forward to many more successful community events in the years ahead.
